High school student-athletes are faced with the daunting task of selecting a college or university that meets both their academic and athletic needs. Students often do not know what to look for in a prospective school and team. Students may lack expose to recruiting coaches. And, students are often confused by the NCAA compliance process. The Collegiate Soccer Academy is designed to assist students in the process of selecting an appropriate school that meets both their athletic and academic needs.
The Academy will provide recruiting exposure to coaches from at least six different conferences. To provide more one-on-one time with coaches, the Collegiate Soccer Academy has limited openings. Each of the camps will be capped at 150 participants. Educational sessions have been included in the academy to improve the students’ understanding of the application process. And lastly, student-athletes will experience the demands of actual collegiate-level training sessions and take home a strength, speed, and agility training program to improve their overall soccer performance.
Based on our recruiting experiences to date, we have discovered that many high school student-athletes are interested in attending college or university on the East Coast. We have brought together a wide variety of coaches from this region. We have selected coaches from Division I, II, and III. By selecting a range of Division levels, we hope that all players will be accommodated by appropriate recruiting opportunities. Our goal is to assist student-athletes in finding an avenue to continue their educational and athletic goals at the collegiate level.
